Bondi tattoo parlour fighting bikie slur

THE owner of Bondi Ink tattoo parlour is furious his business has been linked to bikies in the Eastern Suburbs.

Coogee Ink, a tattoo parlour in the neighbouring suburb, was firebombed last week and is owned by Comanchero national president Daux Ngakuru and his right-hand man Mark Buddle.

Bondi Ink owner John Tadrosse said reports linking his parlour to the Comanchero and Coogee Ink are wrong.

Organisers of this month's annual SURFn'ink Tattoo Festival at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre have asked for double the floor space after a record response from international and local artists.

A SURGE in extreme piercing of children without their parents' knowledge has sparked a cry for urgent changes in the law.

Children as young as 11 are nudging towards body modification practices once reserved for hardcore punks.

There are no laws in Queensland outlawing the piercing of young children, except in genitals. Yet, tattooing, on anyone under 18 is illegal.
